Doha - Arabstoday
The doors of Paris Saint-Germain are open for Arab talents as long as they have what it takes to join the ranks, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said. \"It is an honor for us to have Arab players join the club,\" Al-Khelaifi told QNA, stressing that the Qatari-owned French giants don\'t discriminate against anyone. Al-Khelaifi made the remarks during a press conference at Doha\'s Museum of Islamic Art to unveil the club\'s latest addition Lucas Moura. The Brazilian starlet has sealed a move to PSG from Sao Paulo in a 40-million-euro deal over the summer but the two clubs had agreed he would join his new team in January. PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out any signings during the winter transfer window, noting that Moura will be the only new face. \"He will be the only player to arrive during the transfer window.\" Al-Khelaifi has dismissed as untrue reports that Lekhwiya\'s new signing Tunisian forward Youssef Msakni will join the French club, which currently sit on top of France\'s Ligue 1 on goal difference ahead of Lyon and Marseille. \"Msakni is contracted to his new team and we have no intention of adding new players at this point. The transfers issue was closed after the signing of Lucas [Moura].\" Speaking as being presented to the press, Moura said he hopes to continue the trend of Brazilian players who succeeded and blossomed at PSG. \"PSG has a long history of Brazilian players. I hope to continue writing it, and put a smile on the fans\' faces.\" PSG, owned by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), are on a training camp in Doha, which runs until Thursday. They face Lekhwiya, Qatar Stars League (QSL) title holders in the last two seasons, in a friendly on Wednesday. The Gulf region has become a favorite destination for several European sides during the winter break as they benefit from the region\'s rich sporting facilities and the sunny weather at this time of year.Surce : AFP
