Following a quiet first half, Francisco Silva opened the scoring 10 minutes after the break with a precise strike, and two minutes before the final whistle substitute forward Alvaro Ramos gave the hosts their two-goal cushion. Universidad Catolica manager Juan Martin Lasarte said: "It wasn't a high-level game, but we always maintained the rhythm and the focus, therefore we are well deserved winners.
