Egypt's Zamalek won the African Championship of Handball Cup Winners after beating title holders Esperance ST 26-25 at a final game played on Saturday evening in Laayoune, Morocco.
Tunisia's AS Hammamet had finished third after defeating Friday Egypt's Heliopolis 32-31 at a placement match.
By winning the African Championship of Handball Cup Winners, Zamalek secured his fourth trophy this season after being crowned champions of the Egyptian Handball League, the 2016 Egypt Cup and the African Handball Champions League.
