Al Ahly Sports Club's board on Tuesday formed an official delegation under the club President Mahmoud Taher to visit the General Secretariat of the Egyptian Armed Forces to affirm strong relations between the two bodies.

In a statement, the board hailed efforts to secure the nation and restore sports activity in the country following 2012 Port Said Stadium riot.

Taher affirmed his club's full respect for all former and current symbols of the national Armed Forces.
