Cairo - Arabstoday
Ahly have officially signed a four-year contract with Ittihad Al Shorta defender Mohamed Naguib for LE 4 million and 250 thousand. The Red Devils management were in talks with the defender who stepped up his interest in wearing Ahly’s jersey next season but Al Shorta officials demanded LE 6 millions to offload the player for Ahly. The Egyptian League champions’ Adly El-Quie edged to deduct the defender’s fees to worth LE 4 million. The 27-year old defender performed well last season as attracted the attention of Cairo rivals Ahly and Zamalek but the Red’s welfare helped the League champions to snatch the Naguib’s signature. Nagiub is the fourth player who wears Ahly’s jersey this summer along with Petrojet midfielder El-Sayed Hamdi, Brazilian striker Fabio Junior and Masry winger Ahmed Shedid Qinawi.
