The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) held a joint meeting with the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club to discuss hosting the Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR), which will be held under the auspices of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan World Festival on March 13 and 14.
The first day's programme for horse racing is to be held at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, while the second day for endurance racing will be held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
The meeting was attended by BREEF Assistant General Secretary Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, BREEF Media and Public Relations Committee Head Tawfiq Al Salehi, Logistics and Equipment Director Hussain Al Sakran, Technical Director at BREEF Haidar Al Zoubi, and from Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club the Public Relations Director Hamad Rashid Al Nuaimi, who was accompanied by race director Hussain Abdulla Al Harmi.
During the meeting, they stressed the importance of implementing the directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as that of Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee Deputy Chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club Chairman Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, in achieving an outstanding level for the tournament as a way of promoting Bahraini excellence in organising world-class events.
They stressed the importance of teamwork and coordination between all the parties, so as to contribute in a way that show tournament worthy of the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain and embodies the great prestige, which is now occupied by horse sport in Bahrain, which has achieved over the past years.
They reviewed the media coverage plan to cover the entire event, as they confirmed the coordination with Bahrain TV via sports channel in addition to UAE and international channels who wish to broadcast the entire event in local GCC, Arab and international newspapers. They will set up a media centre for the media representatives with all the media facilities.
