His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa attended last night at Bahrain International Endurance Village in Sakhir, the 120-km Endurance Horse Race Championship of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and the 80-km qualifying ride.HRH Crown Prince signaled the start of the race.Upon arrival at the Endurance Village, HM the King was welcomed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).Shaikh Nasser briefed HM King Hamad on the race\'s stages and the participants and introduced to him the Qatari rider Shaikh Abdulla bin Misha\'al bin Hamad Al Thani.HM the King exchanged cordial talks with the riders and wished them every success.He also praised the participation of Shaikh Misha\'al in the race, which, HM the King said, reflects the on-going cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the sports field.HM the King was greeted by the Live e-Transmission members, expressing thanks and appreciation to them for their efforts to provide a live transmission service of the race online.He also appreciated the efforts of BREEF in organizing such races and creating the best atmosphere for the Kingdom\'s riders, praising Bahraini riders\' achievements and accomplishments.HM the King praised the efforts of Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid to support all sports functions and develop them through organising various programmes and events that contribute to enriching sports expertise.He also hailed the Federation\'s role in organizing sports championships, wishing it all success in upcoming events so as to earn honorable results for the Kingdom.After the race, Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid honored the winning riders. Rider Jaffar Mirza won the race followed by Rider Ahmed Hazeem who was followed by Rider Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa source : BNA
