His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, over the Kingdom's achievement of second overall ranking and the Bahraini fighters winning two gold and three bronze medals in the World Mixed Martial Arts Amateur Championships.
HH Shaikh Faisal also congratulated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the outstanding achievements by the Kingdom in the World Championship, pointing out that it is evidence of the ongoing progress and development of Bahraini sports thanks to the leadership's distinctive support.
HH Shaikh Faisal stressed that "the great achievement by the Kingdom in the tournament was the result of the great support provided by the wise leadership to the youth and sports movements in the Kingdom."
"It also reflects the clear interest shown by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the sport of mixed martial arts in general, and Bahraini sports in particular, stressing that their Highnesses are keen to create the ideal atmosphere, appropriate conditions, and fertile ground to achieve different achievements in various sports," said HH Shaikh Faisal.
His Highness said that "the remarkable achievement is a confirmation of the great development in the level of mixed martial arts in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which goes in hand with the generous efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in supporting this game."
"His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has given special care to the sport by supporting the players and honing their talents through various programs, giving them the potential to reach the international podiums," he added praising "the success of the Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting and organizing the BRAVE International Combat Week, which included the World Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Championship and the ninth edition of the BRAVE Championship.
"The successful hosting and organization of the tournament assures the distinguished reputation and the leading position enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in embracing and organizing various international sporting events," he said, taking pride in the fact that "Bahrain is the first Arab and Asian country to host these two international events. He praised the efforts of the organizing committee, the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the efficient organizing staffs who reflected a bright image of the Kingdom and its sports in the tournament."
