His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from the Supreme Defence Council Secretary General Lieutenant General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s historic achievements at the 18th Asian Games, which concluded recently in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. Bahrain achieved the best participation by clinching 26 different medals.

Lt. General Shaikh Daij described the sport achievement as one of the most important accomplishments brought about by Bahrain at the Asian Games. He paid tribute to HM the King for his continuous follow-up on the sport movement in Bahrain which contributed to its development by yielding more achievements at the regional and international level.
