Ruud Krol will lead Tunisia in their FIFA World Cup™ African zone qualifying matches against Cameroon,  with the first fixture due to take place next month. Dutchman Krol replaces Nabil Maaloul after he offered his resignation before Tunisia were reinstated into the competition at the expense of Cape Verde Islands. Following a meeting at its headquarters the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) confirmed it has accepted Maaloul\'s resignation and appointed Krol on a two-month deal that will allow him to remain as coach of Tunisian club SC Sfaxien. A FTF statement read: \"The federal bureau met on Tuesday evening at the headquarters of the FTF and decided the following: One - Accept the resignation of former coach Mr Nabil Maaloul. Two - Identify Ruud Krol as head coach of the first team. The new coach is allowed to combine his position as head of the Carthage Eagles and Club Sportif Sfaxien during these two months.\" The FTF is set to review Krol\'s position as head coach should Tunisia qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
