His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee has assured that the Bahraini mixed martial arts team's achievement of two gold and three bronze medals, in addition to achieving the second position in the overall ranking is considered a pride for Bahraini sports as it is a new international achievement added to the series of Bahraini successes in various international participations in all fields.
HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the achievement would not have been achieved without the support and comprehensive care for all athletes by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the direct attention of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and the follow-up to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said: "My brother, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Honorary Chairman of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), was able to lead the mixed martial arts sport in the Kingdom with great professionalism, by forming a Bahraini team that includes the finest and most courageous fighters who have been able to implement the plans and programs of His Highness, thus securing positions on the international tournaments' podiums, which confirms the great capabilities and ambitions of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in raising the name and flag of Bahrain In various forums."
"The young people of Bahrain have shown that they have the enthusiasm and expertise to organize great international tournaments, and we always strive to host world championships because we are able to achieve success thanks to the enthusiasm of the youth of Bahrain, and their great contribution to the organization.
