Egyptian powerlifter Mohamed el Sayed won the silver medal in powerlifting at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Sayed lifted 233 kg in the men's -107 kg category, breaking the Paralympic record.

Pavlos Mamalos of Greece won gold medal after lifting 238 kg, while Iran's Ali Sadeghzadehsalmani secured bronze after he lifted 226 kg.
