Doha is preparing to host two Gulf events in the holy month of Ramadan, the 8th GCC Juniors football teams Championship and the 3rd GCC Olympic teams Championship. According to the organisers, the GCC juniors championship will get underway on August 3 while the GCC Olympic teams championship will start on August 12. Hosts Qatar will lock horns against KSA in the opening round of Junior football teams championship on August 3, according to Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).
