Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad al-Khalifa

Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will lead the Bahraini team in the Triple Crown Triathlon Championship, which is set to take place tomorrow in Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad will be part of the Bahraini team who will participate in the championship. The team members are Mikel Calahorra, Mohammed Al Qaisi, Ibrahim Al Tamimi, Ali Janahi, Hamza Al Galili, David Taylor, Eric Watson, Michael Murphy and David Blasa.
This race is the first round of the Triple Crown Championship to be held in Dubai, as the second race to be held in the Muscat, Oman, while the third and final round to be held in Bahrain.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad has led the Bahraini team's training sessions in the Kingdom before heading to Dubai to participate in the event, in order to raise the readiness of the team and to achieve outstanding results and advanced positions.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said that this race comes as part of the international participation for the Bahraini triathlon team, saying that the presence of the Bahraini team in the race will have a positive impact through the acquisition of more experience and skills that the team had to be in the next participations.
He said that the Dubai race is one of the biggest and strongest races in all respects in which participants confirms the strength of competition to achieve advanced positions in the race, pointing out to the importance of Bahrain’s participation in this race, which will contribute to the expansion of the participants in such a race in Bahrain base.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed that the race will not be easy for everybody in light of the presence of huge number of athletes who they put in mind to achieve advanced positions. He highlighted that the team will strive with all strength to achieve a new achievement, adding that the training is going according to the plan, stressing that his team arrived in full readiness of technical and physical terms, which are fully prepared to participate in the race.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and members of the Bahraini team participated in the race ceremony, which was attended by a large number of participants. During the ceremony they exchanged cordial talks between all the participants, as well as explaining the rules and regulations of the race, and displayed the routes and maps of the race which includes swimming, cycling and running competitions.
