Nigerian club side Sunshine Stars debutants in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup made life difficult for themselves by losing the first leg semi-final match at home to Club Africain from Tunisia. The expected pattern had seemed to have taken shape from first whistle, with Sunshine on the offensive and Club Africain content to soak up the pressure. The home side had the first meaningful chance when Akombo Ukeyima came close to opening the scoring but his shot was just inches wide of Africain goal. Sunshine continued creating more chances but could not put them away and as the game went on the visitors grew in confidence and upped the tempo but the first half finished goalless The Tunisian side came back with a different strategy in the second half and came out more taking the game to Sunshine.
