The Kuwaiti racer Salah Bin Eidan flew on Thursday to Qatar, expressing high morale and strong desire to make good results at the eventful 2015 QMMF Qatar International Rally, round one of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship, due on February 5-7.
The champion, in remarks to KUNA upon his departure, said he was determined "to make a score relevant of Kuwait's reputation" in the auto racing competitions.
"I've been preparing myself for this championship since a long time ago and I hope I will be able to present good performance that matches Kuwait's image at this grand continental event," said the upbeat champion.
The rally, due to get started later today, groups 12 racers. Inauguration will be held at Doha corniche at 7 p.m. and the contestants will compete on a 2.27-km track, before shifting to Qatar Aqua Park, where the cars would be maintained.
Actual competitions begin at 9 a.m. on Friday.
