Chris Paul scored on a driving layup with 5 seconds to play Friday, giving the Los Angeles Clippers a 98-97 decision over Portland.
The Clippers outscored Portland 7-2 over the final 75 seconds to win their fourth in a row.
Caron Butler started the late Los Angeles rush with a layup and Randy Foye then hit a 3-pointer that put the Clippers in front 96-95 with 51 seconds left.
Portland regained the lead with its final points of the game, coming on a Jamal Crawford jumper with 16 seconds to go. Paul then hit the game-winning basket and Portland's Wesley Matthews missed a layup attempt with 3 seconds left.
Paul, Foye and Blake Griffin all scored 20 points for the Clippers, who shot 52 percent from the field.
