UAE's athletes Faisal Al Ketbi won the bronze medal of the Black Belt Master 1 - 94kg and Yahiya Al Hammadi clinched the gold medal of the Brown Belt Master 1 + 94 kg at the conclusion of the 2016 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship .
Held at Arena Ipic, Zayed Sports City, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the five-day tournament drew a record number of 100 competing countries with their athletes battling for coveted world titles and the generous prize fund of over AED2.5m.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State.
Fans experienced the ultimate fight of Jiu-Jitsu talent with the new Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Legends on the final day of competition which was won by Black Belt Open heavyweight World Champion Marcio 'Pe de Pano' Cruz.
Organisers said while thousands of the world’s best male and female players showcased their phenomenal skills and athleticism on the mat, the 2016 edition was fun and accessible for sports enthusiasts of all ages.
