China's preparations for the defence of their men's team all-around Olympic title have received a late setback after 2004 pommel horse champion Teng Haibin had to withdraw due to injury. Teng, 27, reportedly injured his left forearm during a pre-tournament training camp. His place in the team has been taken by Guo Weiyang, according to the International Gymnastics Federation. Teng had his left arm heavily wrapped in bandages during a practice session at the O2 Arena on Wednesday and seemed to struggle throughout, notably falling from the pommel horse on several occasions. Teng won Olympic gold in Athens in 2004 and contributed to China's team golds at the World Championships in 2003, 2010 and 2011. He was also crowned world champion on the pommel horse in 2003. The men's artistic gymnastics competition begins in London on Saturday.
