Andre Luis scored the only goal three minutes before the break, leaving Corinthians bottom of the table with one point from five games. Their last-four opponents, who trail 1-0 from the first leg, also lost, 1-0 at Flamengo, thanks to Dario Bottinelli's 88th-minute penalty. Bahia got their first win of the season as Leandro Fahel netted four minutes from the end in a 2-1 victory over Sport Recife.
