Serbia\'s star defender Nemanja Vidic on Monday confirmed that he was quitting international football, the Beta news agency reported.\"After much deliberation and with a heavy heart, I wish to inform the public that I am withdrawing from the national team,\" he said in a statement.Vidic had already earlier this month hinted that he was ready to quit, after Serbia failed to qualify for the Euro in 2012.The former Red Star Belgrade star is presently the captain at Manchester United.
