The Spanish side have decided to part ways with the trainer, following the 2-0 home loss against Segunda B side Mirandes in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.Villarreal have confirmed on their official website that head coach Juan Carlos Garrido has been relieved of his duties. The sacking comes after the club\'s elimination from the Copa del Rey at the hands of minnows Mirandes, which proved to be straw that broke the camel\'s back following a disappointing performance by the team in all competitions this season. In a press release, the club thanked Garrido for his efforts, but did not reveal information on his potential replacement.Villarreal find themselves only out of the relegation zone on goal difference in La Liga, and earlier this year set a record for worst performance by a Spanish team in the Champions League, losing all of their six games in the group stage.
