Egyptian Ambassador to China Osama Magdoub lauded progress achieved by China in the economic, political, development and anti-corruption domains.
In an interview with Xinhua news agency on Sunday, the diplomat highlighted China's promise to fight poverty by 2020, saying the results of achieving these economic and development goals will not only affect China but the entire world.
Fighting poverty in China and improving living conditions will help increase the number of Chinese tourists to the Arab region, leading to an economic boom in many regional countries, including Egypt, he added.
He stressed that economic power of China will revive economies of countries taking part in Belt and Road Initiative through pumping more investments and setting up infrastructure projects.
As for the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party, currently in session here, he said Egypt as well as the rest of Arab countries are following up the congress during which the Chinese policy for the coming five years will be outlined.
He expressed confidence that the outcome of the congress will help push forward Arab-Chinese cooperation.
As China is now more willing to play a bigger role at the international arena, all decisions taken in China no longer affect the Chinese house but also the international community, especially the Mideast region.
