Egypt is determined to fight black terrorism aiming to fragment the region, Egyptian Ambassador here Mohamed Badr Eddin Zayed said.
Cairo is seeking a new civil Arab proposal rejecting any international or regional meddling that is aiming to mess with Arab interests, Zayed said during a reception he organized on the 63rd anniversary of the 23 July Revolution.
During the event, Zayed said he has confidence that the Egyptian army and police will win the battle against terrorism and resume the Egyptian regional role.
He drew links between the July Revolution and the 2011 and 2013 ones, saying the Egyptian people have been always aspiring for their country's independence to build a democratic society and achieve social justice.
Egypt is keen on the interests and security of Lebanon, he said, adding that the Egyptian government is dissatisfied with the present Lebanese presidential vacancy.
