Gaza City - Arab Today
The spokesman of Fatah Movement Fayez Abu Eita said that the movement decided to resume its participation in the meetings of the national and Islamic powers' committee in Gaza Strip after boycotting it for more than one year on the back drop of blasts that targeted the houses of the movement's leaders in November 2014.
Abu Eita told MENA corespondent here on Sunday that the movement responded to the demands of the committee during a meeting held today to resume its participation in the committee's meetings.
The meeting was attended by all the patriotic and Islamic factions except Hamas movement, he said.
All the factions underlined the importance of Fatah's role in the Palestinian patriotic strife, he said, adding that they reiterated that the committee can not shoulder its responsibility without the participation of Fatah.
The committee underscored also that it will resume its efforts exerted to track down the perpetrators who are involved in the explosions.
The spokesman further noted that Fatah's participation in the meetings comes as an appreciation to the Palestinian factions and to back the protests in Jerusalem and the West Bank which he hopes that it might achieve the goals of the Palestinian people in freedom and independence.
