Audi held first place Saturday in the early going of the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race with a pair of Toyotas hot on the trail. The No. 1 Audi R18 E-Tron reached the 60-lap mark of the 80th annual Le Mans with a 13:047-second advantage over second-place Toyota in the LM P1 class. The Audi completed its fastest lap of the epic race in 3 minutes, 29.629 seconds and was averaging 237.8 miles per hour. Toyota had its TS 030 Hybrid cars – Nos. 8 and 7 -- running in second and third place respectively. The rest of the pack was already feeling the effects of the race with a handful of spinouts. The first official retirement from the race was announced when No. 29 from Lola-Nissan dropped out at the 17:35 mark of the race.
