Cristal Global captured back-to-back Team of the Week honors in another strong performance during the third week in the FTBJ-ICBL 30th Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here. Zaldy Bacero completed a Cristal Global double when he won the men’s Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 632 on lines of 235, 194 and 203. Sky Freight-TFC delivered the only other 40 points performance while first week honoree Zamil Metal was a point adrift on 39 that was more than enough for it to stay on top of the team standings for the third week running. The next two teams, D’ Barkads and Al Watan Décor, were separated by just half a point on 36.5 and 36 points followed by Hidada Ltd. 31.5 and Jeddah Lanes 30. In eighth place on the day were Pin Slashers 24 with Akiera Sato Bowlers and Saudi Diyar Consultants on 23 and 22 respectively. Avengers, Kulisap ni Moe and Yanbu Sniper finished as the last three teams on 18, 16 and 4 points in that order. Lourdes Punzalan replicated the last week’s feat of Al Watan teammate Charie Guzman when she became the ladies Bowler of the Week at 594 (154, 165,164). Cristal Global canceled out a mere 7 points in the second game by returning the first-place points of 13 in the third game and overall output. Cesar Monares backed up Bacero at Cristal Global, carding 629. From the distaff side Cristal Global received 540 and 521 from Bheng Cerbito and Gail Mata. Pancho Cuevas and Jess Cerbito rounded out the Cristal scoring at 184-193 and 193. The trio of Oca Bernabe, Goying Salazar and Rene Santiago each rolled three-game series of 607, 595 and 589 at the helm of Sky Freight. Babes Tiongson also went the distance for Sky Freight at 552, while Yolly Santos made 138-157 and Imelda Sayago tallied 168. The league leaders had Ladio Gonzales and Bonie Garcia in charge with rounds of 606 and 564. Len-Len Berina and Ester Jalata tossed in 573 and 528 for Al Zamil. The previous week men’s individual awardee Leo Edejer was again the main man at D’ Barkads with 606. Rey Beltran, Cheryl Tibay and Che Bautista rolled full games of 583, 538 and 520 while Danny Bautista contributed 220-183 and Jack Jarin 155. Team standings after the third week: 1.
