Alessandro Del Piero will captain Juventus for his final league match with the Turin giants against Atalanta on Sunday. Del Piero's 19-year stay with the Old Lady will come to an end when this season finishes and coach Antonio Conte wants to give him a special send-off. With the Serie A title already wrapped up and an Italian Cup final to come in a week's time, Del Piero will get the chance to say goodbye to the fans who have idolised him for the best part of the last two decades. But Conte is still determined to preserve his team's unbeaten run this season. "I will pick the best team to finish an historic season without a defeat," said Conte. "If we manage to go the whole season without losing, others would be able to match us but no-one could beat us. "[Del Piero] started against Notts County when we inaugurated the Juventus Stadium and he also started the first game of the season against Parma as captain. "He will also start against Atalanta. It's something he's due, not for his career but for what he's done and what he still needs to do on Sunday." It is not just Del Piero who will get a rare start, as reserve goalkeeper Marco Storari will also be given the jersey ahead of Gianluigi Buffon. However, for Conte there is no time to party and celebrate as he is already thinking about the future. "This year has been a departure point, we still have great room [for improvement]," he said. "We've only taken the first step, we have to keep going. "If we're intelligent, we're at the beginning and we can start something important. We've had an exponential improvement physically and tactically from everyone. "The players have guaranteed me maximum availability and a ferocious application, they want to make history."
