The headquarters of the German Football Federation (DFB) in Frankfurt were raided on Wednesday by state prosecutors investigating alleged corruption in the granting of player agent licences. The raid took place after German football magazine Kicker alleged one of their reporters was able to buy the answers to the test, issued by football’s governing body FIFA, to qualify to become a player agent. The test is administrated by the DFB in Germany. The state prosecutor’s office said it was investigating the allegations of bribery and the visit from officials to the DFB headquarters is reported to have lasted nearly three hours “We can confirm that the DFB informed the Frankfurt prosecutor today about the process involved for a FIFA player’s agent examination,” DFB spokesman Ralf Koettker said.
