Hockenheim - Arabstoday
Former F1 star David Coulthard arrives into qualifying fully expecting to struggle, but pinpoints a stronger race pace which the Scot hopes will translate into more DTM points. Coulthard, who is into his third DTM season, has struggled in this seasons opening two qualifying sessions after qualifying 18th and 20th at Hockenheim and the Lausitzring. However, despite his poor qualifying performances the former multiple grand prix winner has displayed a much stronger race pace, resulting in an eighth at Hockenheim and twelfth at the Lausitzring. \'\'I think we\'ll probably struggle again in qualifying but I\'m looking forward to the race and will hopefully get some points at the end,\'\' Coulthard told crash.net. The current Mercedes man also hinted the level of competition within such a tight field is partly to blame for his qualifying woes this season. \'\'It\'s very competitive and very close and these guys are fully focused professionals, but that said, Brands Hatch, a track I know well, lets see what happens.\'\' Coulthard finished Friday\'s running down in 16th.
