World number four Stan Wawrinka was defeated in the fourth round at Indian Wells on Wednesday, losing in three sets 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (7/5) to 15th seed David Goffin.

Goffin advances to the quarter-finals of the joint ATP and WTA Tour event where he will face Marin Cilic who defeated Richard Gasquet 7-5, 5-7, 6-2.
