The West Asian Football Confederation (WAFC) website has referred to the names of the participating footstall teams in the games as Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Palestine, and noted that the games would be held only in one group. Each of the five participating teams would play four games, and in other words, a game with every one of the remaining four teams. The opening ceremony and the first game would be held on Friday, February 8th, and the closing ceremony and final match would be held on May 3rd. The games would be off on Monday, April 30th, when the teams would have their rest day, before beginning the second half of the championship games on Tuesday. The Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation (IRIFF) had earlier this month announced that the participants at the games would be Iran, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, and Lebanon, and that the games would be held in two groups, each comprised of four teams. The Iran National Futsal Team represents Iran in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation. The \'Kings of Asian Futsal\' have won almost all editions of Asian Futsal Championship and are the 6th strongest team in the world according to the most recent Futsal World Ranking.
