Chelsea's defender Branislav Ivanovic

Branislav Ivanovic partners Gary Cahill in the centre of a reshuffled Chelsea defence for their Champions League last 16, first leg away to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

With captain John Terry ruled out and Kurt Zouma sidelined for the season, Ivanovic moves inside from his usual berth at right-back and wears the captain's armband for the game at the Parc des Princes.

Cesar Azpilicueta shifts across to right-back and Baba Rahman lines up on the left.

In midfield, the absence of Nemanja Matic due to suspension means Cesc Fabregas will start a little deeper alongside John Obi Mikel.

Marco Verratti makes his first start in a month after injury for Paris Saint-Germain, although coach Laurent Blanc insisted on Monday that the little Italian did not have a full 90 minutes in him.

Marquinhos lines up at right-back after Serge Aurier, a regular starter in that position, was suspended indefinitely by the club for insulting Blanc and several of his team-mates in a video on social media.

This is the third consecutive season that the sides have met in the competition, with Chelsea winning on away goals in the 2014 quarter-finals and PSG triumphing in the same fashion in the last 16 a year ago.
