St Mirren manager Danny Lennon is hoping to finalise his new contract next week after being flattered to have been linked with the Hibernian job.Lennon took charge of St Mirren in 2010 and kept the club in the SPL during his first season in charge, while this term sees the club lying sixth in the table.Reports have claimed that Lennon has been interviewed for the Hibernian vacancy, but he revealed talks regarding a contract extension with the Buddies are progressing well.\"They are coming along very, very nicely and I\'m hoping, come the early part of next week, that will be concluded,\" said Lennon.\"It\'s always flattering that you\'re getting linked with so-called bigger clubs and bigger budgets.\"But I have a fantastic job here and one that I\'m only halfway through. And I\'m very, very determined to finish it.\"St Mirren have received plaudits for their play this season but Lennon believes there is more of an end product to come with the ultimate aim a top-six place.\"It\'s always nice your club is getting spoken about in the correct manner,\" he said. \"And it\'s great that we are sitting in the top half of the table. That\'s certainly going to be our aim throughout.\"But outwith that you can see there are other good things happening about the club, with Craig Samson getting his (Scotland) call-up and wee Kenny Mclean getting the young player of the month award.\"There are good quality youngsters coming through and wonderful supporters. We\'re putting more bums on seats so there is something there that they\'re enjoying.\"
