The Blusens Avintia team has confirmed previous reports in the Spanish media that Julian Simon will switch from an FTR to Suter chassis for this weekend\'s second round of the 2012 Moto2 World Championship, at Jerez. The Spaniard, who finished 15th in the opening Qatar round, raced a Suter chassis during his two previous seasons at Aspar, claiming nine podiums and second in the 2010 championship. “The results in Qatar weren\'t the ones we expected but neither the team nor myself are put off. On the contrary. It gives us more incentive to work harder and make concrete decisions,” said Simon. “I am going to ride on a Suter chassis in Jerez - which I am really used to and with which I am really expecting to find the feeling that I have been lacking so far. “I am convinced that I will be lucky on this Andalucian track and that we will be more competitive from this next round onwards. I am surrounded by people who trust me and this brings me satisfaction. I feel like giving this trust back with good results.” Marc Marquez won for Suter at Losail, with pole sitter Thomas Luthi also providing a strong victory challenge on the Swiss machinery. The top FTR was Simone Corsi in eighth. Avintia MotoGP rider Ivan Silva is also rumoured to be changing his chassis this weekend, from an FTR to Inmotec design.
