Inter have officially confirmed that Claudio Ranieri is their new Coach, stepping in at San Siro for Gian Piero Gasperini who was sacked on Wednesday. The widely-expected news was confirmed on the club\'s official website on Thursday morning.“Claudio Ranieri is officially the new Coach of Inter. The Coach has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until June 30, 2013.“All at FC Internazionale are pleased to welcome Claudio Ranieri and his staff.”The Coach has already spoken about how he intends to \'return Inter to playing like they know how\'. Ranieri was thought to be President Massimo Moratti\'s preferred choice for the greater Serie A experience he offered over other rumoured candidates, thought to have included Delio Rossi, Luis Figo, Roberto Donadoni, Roberto Baggio and Quique Sanchez Flores. The 59-year-old Rome native arrives with a reputation of turning stricken situations around. The former Chelsea Coach led Parma to safety in an impressive five-month spell in 2007 and then took Juventus to a respectable third place in their first season back in Serie A. He was also mainly responsible for their follow-up second place finish the next season, but was sacked in May.Ranieri also revived Roma, taking them from two defeats in the opening two games of the 2009-10 season to leading the table towards the end of the season, and coming a close second to Jose Mourinho\'s Nerazzurri.During Ranieri\'s time at Juventus, he was involved in an infamous war of words with then-Inter Coach Mourinho, who publicly taunted him for being a perennial runner-up, winning \'zeru tituli - zero titles\'.
