Pepe made his 150th appearance with Real Madrid in the 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon. The defender made his debut with the team on 11 August 2007 against Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan in the Spanish Super Cup. He has since become a fixture in starting lineups. The clash with Atletico also marked the tenth anniversary of his debut in the First Division with Portuguese side Maritimo.
