Former Ligue 1 winning coach Claude Puel reached agreement with French side Nice on Wednesday to take over at the helm after spending nearly a year out of work. The 50-year-old, who guided Monaco to the title in 2000, replaces Rene Marsiglia, who was sacked on Monday after achieving the task he was given when he took over in mid-November of keeping them in Ligue 1. Puel, who also coached Lille and Lyon before being fired by the latter in July last year, will sign a three year contract.
