New York Red Bulls moved top of Major League Soccer\'s Eastern Conference with a 2-0 win over Philadelphia Union on Saturday, while Sporting Kansas City were held to a 0-0 home draw by New England Revolution. Two headers from Kenny Cooper, one either side of half-time, did the trick for New York at Red Bull Arena, ending Philadelphia\'s three-game winning streak. Sporting could have swiftly reclaimed first place with victory over New England, but could not find the breakthrough at Livestrong Sporting Park as the visitors picked up a rare point away from home. Real Salt Lake moved four points behind the Western Conference-leading San Jose Earthquakes with a 2-0 triumph over the Colorado Rapids, Alvaro Saborio opening the scoring in the 32nd minute and Will Johnson sealing the points at the finish. Landon Donovan scored twice in the second half to lift Los Angeles Galaxy to a 3-1 victory over Chivas USA. Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane gave the MLS Cup champions a 14th-minute lead at the Home Depot Center, with Paolo Cardozo\'s first goal for Chivas halving the deficit soon after Donovan had made it 2-0 early in the second half. Portland\'s miserable road form continued. The Timbers have not won away from home all season and went down 5-0 at FC Dallas. Colombian defender Hanyer Mosquera set Dallas on their way with an early own goal and further strikes from Andrew Jacobson, Jackson, Scott Sealy and Ruben Luna completed the rout. Houston Dynamo climbed to third in the Eastern Conference thanks to a 3-0 triumph over Montreal Impact, with Macoumba Kandji, twice, and Bobby Boswell the men on target. Dynamo leapfrogged DC United, who slipped to fourth spot after a 1-0 loss at Columbus Crew, Chris Birchall scoring the game\'s only goal, which was his first for the Crew.
