John Percy and Jeremy Wilson write in The Telegraph... United monitor Jack Butland Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a summer move for Birmingham City’s £3million-rated goalkeeper, Jack Butland. Ferguson, the Manchester United manager, sent his goalkeeping coach, Eric Steele, to make a personal check on Butland in Cheltenham’s 1-0 defeat at Rotherham on Monday. Butland, who made his debut for the England Under-21s last year, is on his second loan spell with League Two Cheltenham and has also been regularly watched by Arsenal this season. The 19-year-old has represented England at every level up to the under-21s but is still yet to make a first-team appearance for Birmingham. Chris Hughton, the Birmingham manager, is expecting serious interest in the summer and the club are prepared to sell Butland if they receive a suitable offer. Elsewhere, many of the papers have run quotes from Ryan Giggs\' matchday programme interview on Sunday (also published yesterday on ManUtd.com) on his desire to win a 13th title. Giggs told United Review that winning the league this year would rank up there with his best achievements. The Telegraph\'s Henry Winter writes an opinion piece on the title race and concludes that Sir Alex is the main reason United look certain to clinch this season\'s Barclays Premier League trophy. \"Once again, as he hunts down another title, Sir Alex Ferguson has reminded everyone that the game is about heart, that a player is nothing without hunger, that a team cannot scale the heights without a unity of purpose keeping their footing safe on the rocky ascent.\"
