The former Real Madrid defender is, according to claims, top of the Giallorossi\'s wanted list to step into the boots of the Argentine, who will miss at least six months.Roma are looking to bring Benfica\'s Ezequiel Garay to the Stadio Olimpico in January following news that Nicolas Burdisso will be out of action for at least six months, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.Burdisso injured his knee on international duty and, with the Giallorossi also hoping to offload defenders Juan and Cicinho during the January transfer window, there will likely be a massive gap in defence that needs filled. As a result, the 25-year-old former Real Madrid defender is seen as the ideal man to relieve the Giallorossi\'s defensive issues and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he would be available for €10 million.Garay signed for Benfica in July 2011 for a fee of €5.5m and has made 13 appearances for the Portuguese side this season. However, if Roma are unable to tie up a deal for the Argentine, the main alternative would be Borussia Dortmund\'s Neven Subotic, who is reportedly available for around €15m.
