Cairo Security Directorate has officially refused Monday to secure day-9 Egyptian Premier League match between Ahly and Maqassa in Egypt’s capital due to the ongoing unrest. 13 died and hundreds injured in ugly clashes between protesters and security forces against the Cabinet downtown near Tahrir square. “What concerns the security the most is that there are two other games that will be held at the same time, on Arab Contractors and Military Stadium,” EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed said. The Egyptian Football Association (EFA), under the presidency of Samir Zaher, are discussing moving the game to Max Stadium in Alexandria. “After the two sides approved, Max Stadium is our favorite option now,” Megahed revealed. EFA delayed two important games due to the ongoing unrest till now, Ahly-Ismaily and Zamalek-Masry.
