The Andalusian outfit have collected only two points from their last seven Primera League encounters, and have consequently dropped to 11th spot in the table with 26 points from 21 matches.The 46-year-old joined Sevilla at the start of the campaign, and made a promising start to his career at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, as they remained unbeaten in their opening nine La Liga games.However, the ex-Racing Santander boss has since lost grip of the Rojiblancos, and the club have therefore decided to sack him to try and change their fortunes.Sevilla have not yet appointed a replacement, but are expected to start their search for a new head coach shortly.
