The World Motor Sport Council of the ruling body FIA confirmed here on Wednesday that the United States and Bahrain races are included into the 2012 Formula One calendar. The US Grand Prix, which is to be held in Austin, Texas, was previously doubtful due to contract issues. However, FIA confirmed the November 18 race date in the 2012 list at the meetings in India which means the US race will return to F1 after five-year absence. The Bahrain Grand Prix, which has been canceled twice this season due to domestic political unrest, will also return to the calendar and is scheduled for April 22. The 20-race 2012 F1 campaign will kick off on March 18 in Australia and conclude on November 25 in Brazil.
