New Australian A-League outfit Western Sydney Wanderers said Saturday they have added four more signings as head coach Tony Popovic pushes on with a recruitment drive before the new season in October. The Wanderers recruited former Sydney FC trio Michael Beauchamp, Mark Bridge and Shannon Cole, while Nikolai Topor-Stanley joined after a three-year spell with the Newcastle Jets. All are youth products of the western Sydney region, which Popovic is trying to foster in his recruitment drive. Beauchamp, who played alongside Popovic for the Socceroos, will link up with Topor-Stanley in the centre of the Wanderers' defence in the club's inaugural season. "All four players have excellent pedigree in the A-League and each bring something different to the squad," Popovic said. Popovic announced the signings of midfielder Aaron Mooy from Scottish side St Mirren, former Newcastle Jets captain Tarek Elrich and local player Kwabena Appiah-Kubi at an event last Monday to unveil the new club. Wanderers will begin training on Monday ahead of their opening home match of the season against the Central Coast Mariners on 6 October. FIFA .
