The official of the media center of the Ministry of Interior said one woman was killed and a number of other people wounded in a blast in a flat in building no. 22 in Sahl Hamza in Feisal area in Giza on Sunday.

The official said that the blast may have been caused by gas leakage inside a flat in the area.

Bomb disposal experts arrived to the scene to inspect the situation and did not find any bombs or explosive materials so far.

The gas company shut the stopcock to prevent further leakages.
