An Egyptian soldier and two armed elements were killed while six other soldiers wounded on Friday in two operations south of Sinai. The Middle East News Agency quoted an Interior Ministry source as saying that an armed element was killed at dawn today when a bomb exploded while he was approaching a security ambush south of Sinai. Two others were wounded. The source added that another suicide bomber detonated a bomb he was carrying in a passing bus, setting it ablaze, killing himself and wounding four workers. It pointed out that the security authorities, while combing the area, found a car loaded with RPGs. An investigation is underway.
