As many as 24 suspects were arrested on Tuesday in a security crackdown in Sheikh Zwuaid and Rafah cities in North Sinai, a security source said.

Also, a number of terrorist hideouts were destroyed.

Two explosive devices planted by terrorists on highway were defused.

The campaign is part of the security bodies' plan to restore security in Sinai Peninsula.
