An explosion occurred today inside a church in Tanta city inflicting casualties, a security source at the Egyptian Interior Ministry said. 

The church was immediately cordoned off and bomb-disposal experts were scouring the area for any other explosive devices, Middle East News Agency (MENA) quoted the source.
