The Armed Forces killed a dangerous militant and arrested 45 others in a wide scale crackdown on militants' hideouts in Isamilia, Daqahlia, Minya and Damietta provinces.
"Over the last three days, our forces seized 11 cars and 33 motorbikes used for attacks on army and police personnel," said army spokesman Brigadier Mohamed Samir.
He added the forces raided three warehouses stocked with arms, ammunition and explosives.
